Abstract: Socialization is a process of learning, communicating and behaving of an individual to social life such as parents, friends, family, school and society. Socialization in Buddhism is also a process which each individual learn, understand and practice the teachings of the Buddha that make everyone become a human being better in family and society. Buddhism was established by the Buddha with the goal that make benefit of all human beings. Learning from the spirit of being free from suffering and bringing happiness to others of the Buddha s teaching, Buddhist nuns in Vietnam practice the Buddha s teachings every day in their life, and service to community. Nowadays, the social work of Buddhist nuns in Vietnam is as the way to preach Buddhism in life. So work of Buddhist nuns widely developed and helped society in all fields such as health care for community, vocational training classes, especially the system of kindergarten schools, nursing homes, and orphanages. This is considered as a strong development step of Socialization of Buddhist nuns in the organizations of charity for the community. The present study has focused on: Introduction of Socialization, a brief Social History of Buddhism in Vietnam, the main aspects of Nunneries, their role, dailyactivities in life of Buddhist Nuns and other inmates. newlineThrough this present study, we would understand better the life of Buddhist nuns in Vietnam. It relates to role of practical Buddhism in present day society. This way could fill the gaps in thought and attitudes to make life holistic. It will help all people to cultivate and develop individual self and bring happiness in the life. newline newline
