dc.description.abstract | Development in techniques of fabrication and experimentation methodologies has prompted inclination toward nanocrystalline materials. Due to high volume fraction, nanocrystalline materials are found to have high strength, improved diffusivity and improved toughness. The structure of nanomaterials is superior in comparison with traditionally available coarse-grained materials. Also, nanomaterials have better practical properties than other materials. newlineFor large sized crystals structures, experimentation methods provide a fair result but if the subject shifts to nanoscale range then experimentation methods could lead to a high resource consumption process. Atomistic simulations have been developed as a technique to predict mechanical properties and characteristics of any nano-sized specimen at a cheaper cost and lesser time newline | |
