dc.description.abstractABSTRACT newlineBackground: CT is used to diagnose anatomical variations in paranasal sinuses, which can be used to develop an operative procedure. newlineThis study investigated the morphometric relationship between right and left side sinuses and the volumetric changes in respect to age and gender. newlineMaterials and Methods: Patients were screened with direct coronal sections imaging and axial scans, and CT images were studied in all planes. newlineThis study found a correlation between the structural differences of the paranasal sinuses and their quality of life. Males and females had their mean LLCP heights estimated and compared, and the ethmoid roof was categorized using the Keros classification. newlineResults: The most commonly observed anatomical variation was deviated nasal septum, with significant differences between different age groups. newlineUsing the SNOT-22 score, it was determined whether there was a statistically significant relationship between the deviated nasal septum, nasal septal spur, Agger nasi cell, Concha bullosa, Bulla ethmoidalis, fronto-ethmoidal (Kuhn) cell, Onodi cell, maxillary sinus septation, and quality of life. newlineKeros categorization categories are comparable to LLCP height and do not significantly differ across patients who are male and female. newlineConclusion: The anatomical variations of the paranasal sinuses are evaluated using CT scans and should be taken into consideration during procedures. newlineWith SNOT 22, it is possible to compare the volumetric structural changes that occur as people age by accurately comparing the preoperative and postoperative condition of the paranasal sinuses. newlineKeywords: Computed tomography, Paranasal sinuses, Anatomical variations, Morphometric, Volumetric, SNOT-22, Keros Classification newline newline
