Abstract: In today s fast paced business environment, the organisations need to go to an extra mile to communicate, engage and to make the employees feel valued so that they can retain them. With Generation Z entering the work force and the organisational talent becoming more diverse, it is important to keep the workforce engaged with the help of multiple programmes and initiatives, and by providing them relaxed structured work opportunities. Therefore, in the modern world, the leaders instead of being employees supervisors have become employee supportive. Moreover, the people want autonomy and full control over their surroundings. The managers should foster a culture that encourages new ideas and lets the employees know that when new ideas are not accepted, this does not imply failure. Further, the success of an organisation depends on how efficiently the employees work but if there is a constant migration of employees from one organisation to another, it will only make the business organisations unstable. The present study has sought to examine how the behaviour of a superior (i.e. supportive and non-controlling) affects the employees behaviour related to creativity and how both these factors adversely impact the intention of a subordinate to quit the organisation. It was observed that the creativity of employees was enhanced when the superiors were supportive and were not controlling. Moreover, the intentions to quit among the employees also decreased when the supervisor provided them with supportive and non-controlling environment which enhanced creativity among them. newline
