Fabric changes brought by depositional and post-depositional/deformational processes in siliciclastic rocks are essential for scientific and societal applications. Identification of process-specific fabrics in unsheared and adjacent sheared Siwalik sandstones (Morni-Haryana, India) based on field, microscopic and sub-microscopic data reveal higher stage diagenetic processes in later despite occurring at same burial depth. Based on paleostress data, main fault sets can be categorized into ~NW-striking normal and ~NE-striking reverse slip-planes, accommodating strike-slip component. newline
