The objective of the present study was to investigate phytochemical, in-vitro antioxidant, acute and sub-acute oral toxicity according to the guidelines 423 and 407 of OECD and neuroprotective effects of Solanum giganteum Jacq and Senecio edgeworthii Hook plants extracts on AlCl newline3 and 3-NP induced neurotoxicity and oxidative stress. The preliminary phytochemical investigations of Solanum giganteumJacq.saponin were detected in the SGP extract. Tannins and alkaloids can be seen in the SGC and SGA extracts presence glycosides and flavonoids and Senecio edgeworthii Hook plants extracts of SEA extracts present of flavonoids. SEC extract glycosides, tannins were detected. SEP was presence of cardiac glycoside. SE-Oil triterpenes were detected. Invitro newlineantioxidant investigation, SGC and SGA extract of Solanum giganteum Jacq and Senecio edgeworthii Hook plant extract SE-Oil, SEA and SEC exhibited an outstanding scavenging effect on DPPH, Nitric oxide and H2O2 radical. Acute and sub-acute toxicity studies, exposure to Senecio edgeworthii Hook SEA and SEC extracts as well as Solanum giganteum Jacq SGA extract was regarded as being relatively safe. Effective doses have been chosen for the neuroprotective investigation, with SGA, SEA, and SEC having doses of 250 and 500 mg/kg. Solanum giganteum Jacq at a dose of 2000 mg/kg, chloroform extract demonstrates acute toxicity, while at a dose of 500 mg/kg; subacute toxicity was demonstrated by altered hepatic structure in treated animals. Effective doses of 100 and 200 mg/kg (SGC) have been chosen for the newlineneuroprotective investigation. Senecio edgeworthii Hook flower Oil extract exhibits acute toxicity at a dose of 2500 mg/kg, and in a study of subacute toxicity, at a dose of 500mg/kg; subacute toxicity is demonstrated by altered hepatic structure in treated animals. For the neuroprotective study, the SE-Oil effective doses of 125 mg/kg and 250 mg/kg were chosen.
