Abstract: | Cities are the major contributors to the conversion of change in land use and resource newlineconsumption. Thus, they are fast becoming a cause for accelerating climate change. So, one newlinecan say that the development process related to city planning is of the utmost importance. newlineA city can look upon itself as a hybrid ecosystem or as it is an amalgamation of many newlinesubsystems. Thus, larger population concentration at a particular place gives rise to many newlinelayers of interactions with the natural surroundings. Also, it results in the consumption of newlineavailable resources and disturbances in natural ecosystems. Alongside, it brings the newlinenecessity of the development process for the growing needs of a city and extensive change newlinein land use. newlineThe overall research framework follows the inductive research method to understand the newlinephenomena of the development process in urbanized areas and its impact on assessment of newlineenvironmental condition in temporal and spatial paradigms. For experimenting, a highly newlineurbanized area in the state of Gujarat, Ahmedabad is selected for detail inquiry. This study newlinewill implement the investigation method to interpret the relevance of urban ecosystem newlineservice significance in the planning of fringe or peri-urban areas, i.e., AUDA area of the city newlineAhmedabad has a potential scope of further development. The research study has looked newlineupon the damages to the ecosystem and then quantify it. The proposed investigation has newlineused a spatial analysis tool. The research approach procured the secondary data collection newlineof satellite images using USGS Landsat images to access temporal variation of LULC in newlineAUDA area. It has further used a primary analysis tool of statistical method to establish the newlinecorrelation model among the parameters chosen for study and regression for generating newlineempirical equation. The research has considered only selective parameters like LULC newlinedecadal change, NDVI and NDBI for analyzing the effect of ecosystem service on urban newlineecology of the city. newlineThe research thesis is divided into three parts in whi |
