Abstract: | In the present work, we have synthesized new pyrrolidine based newlineorganocatalyst, and studied it s applications in the different stereoselective chemical newlinereaction. The thesis work is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is divided into newlinetwo sections, Section A deals with the introduction to field of organocatalysis and newlineSection B describes the synthesis and characterization of new pyrrolidine based newlineorganocatalysts. Applications of these catalysts were studied in different newlinestereoselective reactions. Second chapter deals with the study of asymmetric synthesis newlineof and#946;-amino carbonyl compound via Mannich reaction. It describes synthesis of and#946;- newlineamino carbonyl compounds catalyzed by new pyrrolidine based organocatalyst (S)-N- newline(2,4-dinitrophenyl)pyrrolidine-2-carboxamide. The third chapter describes newlineasymmetric synthesis of and#946;-nitroalkanol via Henry Reaction. It contain introduction, newlinesynthesis and characterization of and#946;-nitroalkanols catalyzed by (S)-N-(2,4- newlinedinitrophenyl)pyrrolidine-2-carboxamide. The synthesis of aminobenzyl naphthols via newlineBetti reaction is studied in detail in chapter four. Chapter five deals with the study of newlinesynthesis of and#946;-hydroxyl acrylates via asymmetric Baylis-Hillman reaction catalyzed newlineby (S)-N-(2,4-dinitrophenyl)pyrrolidine-2-carboxamide organocatalyst. newlineChapter-1: Synthesis of New Chiral Pyrrolidine Based Organocatalysts. newlineThis chapter containss two sections, section A deals with introduction to the newlinefield of organocatalysis while section B deals with the synthesis and characterization newlineof new chiral pyrrolidine based organocatalysts. newlineAbstract newlineMadhavi S. Menkudle, Ph. D. Thesis; 2021; SRTMU, Nanded iv newlineSection-A Introduction to Field of Organocatalysis. newlineOrganocatalysis to catalyze organic transformations, is a relatively new and newlinepopular field within the domain of asymmetric synthesis. Some amino acids like newlineproline, phenylalanine and their derivatives have been used in enantioselective newlinesynthesis since from long time. Literature revels that, pyrrolidine based organocatalyst newlinehave extraordinary capacity t |
