Abstract: | Even though Ayurveda attained world attention Scarcity of medicinal plants is one of the main lacunas in the research and development of ayurvedic drugs, now a days we are lacking genuine drugs in the market because of deforestation and unscientific drug collection, so its highly needed to do conservative and scientific cultivation by implementing some of our ancient cultivation techniques, in Vrukshayurveda we have got enough references regarding the ancient cultivation techniques and different types of natural manures one among them is Kunapajala (liquid organic manure) so here we are reviewing the preparation of Kunapajala newlineaccording to the reference and standardising its preparation there after the chemical test and microbial study of Kunapajala will be performed and assessing the efficacy of the same in cultivation of Sarpagandha as it have been enlisted as red listed plant and is reported to be adulterer commonly with R.tetraphylla. in this study the Sarpagandha seeds are used to sprout the saplings and 60 healthy sapling were selected from the sprouted saplings and are randomly grouped into two groups of 30 saplings i.e. Group-A and Group-B. In Group A prepared and standardised Kunapajala Is used as manure and in another group the standard manure is being used and after the harvest the roots from both the groups are compared organoleptically, physically, chemically, newlinehistologically, statistically (growth charts) and through chromatographic techniques [TLC and HPTLC (Quantification of Reserpine)] |
