Abstract: ABSTRACT newlineDiabetes mellitus is a metabolic syndrome . The incidence of DM globally 438 million, it is significantly raising. DM causes the development of microvascular complications like Diabetic nephropathy (DN) , causes the changes of the renal cell functions , leads to the excretion of microalbumin in the urine, major cause for the mortality and morbidity of the DN. Present study focused on the development of the pro inflammatory markers , Apelin-13, Visfatin and Nitrotyrosine. The incidence of diabetic nephropathy is about 13%. newlineApelin-13 is a endogenous peptide , G-protein. Its level has significance in the various stages of diabetic nephropathy. Visfatin is an adipokine released in response with the DM and significantly in various stages of DN. Nitrotyrosine is also elvated in various stages of DN. newline newlineMaterials and Methods: A total of 200 individuals included in the research study. Age 35-55 years and age, sex matched individuals were informed for a consent. 50 healthy individuals as control group. Age, sex matched 150 individulas who are known diabetic and are on oral hypoglycemic drugs included under test group . Based on ACR , subdivided them into three sub groups as normo albuminuria (50), micro albuminuraia (50), macro albuminuria (50). newline newlineResults: Analysed the all routine parameters and Plasma insulin and HOMA IR. Specific parameters Apelin-13, Visfatin and nitrotyrosine were estimated by ELISA method. Results were analysed , calculated by two way ANOVA DMRT method. Obtained P value lt0.05, statistically significant. newline newlineConclusion: Apelin-13, Visfatin, and Nitrotyrosine in serum are significantly elevated at various levels of Diabetic Nephropathy. Above parameters are the tools for the assessment of renal damage and serves as an early markers for the DN. newline newline
