Abstract: | ABSTRACT newlineWith the increase in the demand for high rate services the current newlinecommunication system needs the incorporation of other high rate newlinecommunication architecture, compatibility with higher bit rate and larger newlinebandwidth. Optical fiber communication newlineis newlinean evolving means of newlinecommunication for providing high rate services with larger bandwidth and newlinelong range communication. The integration of the Optical fiber newlinewith newlinecommunication newlinethe existing communication system will be one of the newlinemajor solutions to cope with the next generation communication. The newlinecompatibility issue and attaining the required BER in OFC system for newlinevarious data rate service is one prime issue. The data transferred in the newlineOFC medium is erroneous due to the system errors generated from the newlinesource and receiving units. newlineThe signal estimation in Optical fiber communication is carried out using newlinethe conventional threshold mapping approach for minimizing the system newlinedistortion. This approach gives a poor estimation and also accuracy when newlinethe signal and external noise level are correlative. Such correlation newlineprevents in making accurate estimation due to very low noise. To improve newlinethe estimation in such an approach, a new estimation approach based on newlinethe use of recursive estimation filters is suggested in this work. In this newlineresearch work an emphasis is made on the development of an estimation newline newlinealgorithm based on recursive estimation. The recursive estimation newlineapproach is developed by using Kalman estimation approach. The newlineVI newlineAndhra University, Visakhapatnam newlineproposed estimation approach is further improved to enhance the newlineestimation efficiency by extending it to derive the units of Kalman newline.. newlineestimator. The estimations were done on a generalized OFC architecture newlineunder variable conditions and were observed to be improved over the newlineconventional estimation methods. newline\ newline\ newline\ newlineVII newlineAndhra University, Visakhapatnam newlineABSTRACT newlineWith the increase in the demand for high rate services the current newlinecommunication system needs the incorporation |
