Abstract: | In this research work, head \and neck, cervix, prostate and breast sites of cancer patients were considered for determination of the radiobiological parameters from SDR curve corresponding to radiation induced acute toxicity end points i.e. oral and pharyngeal mucositis, rectal mucositis, proctitis and dermatitis respectively. The mathematical modeling of the relationship between the dosimetric data and occurrence of acute symptoms during treatment can be used as a predictor for adjusting normal tissues dose constraints which will be helpful to minimize these radiation induced acute toxicity and to make radiation treatment safer and well tolerable for cancer patients. newline |
