Abstract: | As the number of connected electronic devices grows exponentially newlineevery year, there is a great demand for high bandwidth connections to support newlinethe tremendous amount of data generated. Visible Light Communication newline(VLC) has evolved as a promising alternate contender for crowded, newlinejampacked Radio Frequency (RF) technology to quench the ever-lasting thirst newlinefor seamless high-speed indoor connections since the VLC offers an newlineenormous amount of bandwidth (380 780 THz). The VLC technology newlinetransmits data using the Light Emitting Diode (LED) used for illumination as newlineits transmitter and utilizing the free space available as its channel. The main newlinebottleneck in achieving its full capability is the available modulation newlinebandwidth of the LED used. In this thesis, the moto is to do substantial work newlineto improve the modulation bandwidth, thereby improving the data rate of the newlineVLC system to a large extent. newlineThe thesis contains three segments of work done.
