Abstract: Leather is a widely used material in many industries due to its durability, versatility, and aesthetic appeal. It is most often used in the footwear, handicrafts, and automobile industries, but is also found in furniture, clothing, accessories, and other products. Modern machining methods such as Electron Beam Machining, Laser Beam Machining and Water Jet Machining are gaining considerable attention for leather cutting. Die cutting press, CNC leather knife cutting machines and manual cutting are commonly used technologies in industrial leather cutting. Laser cutting eliminate the need for certain manual procedures. Due to a variety of benefits over traditional cutting techniques, the usage of laser technology has risen substantially in recent times. The attributes of laser technology for leather cutting include adaptability, mass production, the capability to cut complicated patterns, ease of producing tailored components, and a reduction in leather waste. Laser cutting could also be used to make unique, decorative or complicated designs that would be hard to make with any other method newline
