dc.description.abstractReal-world complex systems consist of entities and interactions among themselves, newlinee.g., social, biological, transport, technological networks, etc. Network analytics traditionally visualizes a network as a complete and independent system. However, these systems can be more accurately visualized and modeled as a set of interacting network layers. newlineFor example, the entire social network of an individual may consist of Facebook, Twitter, newlineGoogle, etc. Besides, considering the networks as isolated and independent entities makes newlineit difficult to recognize the patterns (nodes and connections among them) and analyze the newlinedynamics of the networks. Thus, to study the dynamics accurately, it is necessary to consider the multilayer network nature of the complex system. The primary emphasis of this newlinethesis is to analyze the synchronization and robustness dynamics on multilayer networks. newlineIn the most of existing literature, synchronization and robustness are studied by considering identical interactions between the entities within and across the network layers. newline
