Four different woven fabrics such as cotton (100%) of 66 s count (carded), polyester/cotton blend (50:50) of 66 s count, microdenier polyester (100%) of 80D and nylon (100%) of 80D were taken to study its moisture management behaviour. Ethoxylated alcohol blend has been chosen as the wetting agent and amino silicone polyether copolymer and commercially available hydrophilic polymer have been chosen as moisture management finishing agents. To attain an adequate comfort level, the moisture management finishing processes, such as application of moisture management finish after treating with wetting agent and without treating with wetting agent were carried at various parameters, which were then optimized. The effect of moisture management finishing process parameters on the comfort properties of woven fabrics has been studied. newlineFrom the research, it was found that the fibre type, and yarn linear density play a major role in the comfort properties of woven fabrics, which include wicking, wetting, and water absorbency and moisture vapour transmission characteristics. From the results, it was observed that, the fabrics made from microdenier polyester and cotton showed good wicking, wetting and water absorbency characteristics when compared to that of newline
