Effectiveness of Management Information System in Educational Institutes in Punjab

Abstract

Management Information System is the key concept of information technology which explores use of information in management. The research reveals an important aspect of MIS i.e. use of MIS in education. For this purpose the region of Punjab, India was chosen where the Effectiveness of Management Information System in Educational Institutes of Punjab was explored. To find out research hypothesis, a quantitative analysis on response recorded from a survey questionnaire regarding use of MIS in technical educational institutes in Punjab was conducted. The survey was conducted with approximately 290 respondents in 5 universities of Punjab. The questionnaire taken for the survey consisted of 33 questions about different aspects on use of MIS in educational institutes. Various Statistical Techniques such as Mean, Standard Deviation, Standard Error Deviation, ANOVA, and Factor Analysis were implemented on the response from questionnaires to get the results. newline
