Color image retrieval using hybrid feature descriptor method

Abstract

With multimedia technology developing and growing, the use of an enormous number of images and their datasets is likewise expanding at a quick rate. Such datasets can be utilized for the purpose of retrieving images, such as a photo album, family pictures or any kind of required image. Different databases are available on different websites like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, and Picasa. A human eye can intercept the difference in any image using the three main features i.e color, texture and shape. Thus, different images can be retrieved based on these different features of an image. Therefore, in this thesis work, three types of descriptors based on different features are proposed for image retrieval systems. newline
