Analysis and Design of a Novel Framework for Mobile AD HOC Network

Abstract

Security and privacy are speedily replacing performance as the primary concern in many newlinescenarios of Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs). The research work includes the newlinecomprehensive review of: (i) the outstanding vulnerabilities and attacks in MANETs, (ii) newlinethe intrusion detection techniques for Black hole, Selective packet Drop, and Flooding newlineattacks, (iii) the design of Intrusion Detection Systems (IDSs) for MANETs, (iv) the newlinenetwork parameters concern with the IDS in MANETs. In this research work, three newlinenovel, robust, efficient intrusion detection techniques for the attacks of Black hole, newlineSelective packet drop, and Flooding attacks in MANETs have been proposed. The work newlinealso provides two efficient IDSs for these attacks. The performance of techniques and newlineIDSs has been evaluated in NS2 tool newline
