dc.description.abstractNowadays, the world energy demand keeps increasing, whereas the availability of conventional sources is on a downtrend. Apart from that, the increased carbon emissions from traditional energy sources result in the greenhouse effect and global climate change. Thus, there is a worldwide shift towards renewable energy sources due to their vast abundance and zero carbon emissions. The integration of renewable sources onto the grid increases exponentially owing to the demands for clean energy, reduction in carbon emissions, and depletion of conventional fuels. But the unsteady nature of these non-conventional sources affects the reliability and resilience of the grid. Therefore, in order to effectively integrate these intermittent sources onto the grid, the deployment of smart inverters is required. Unlike conventional inverters, smart inverters identify the difference between minor and major fluctuations and hence trips the renewable source interconnection only during major fluctuations. Because unexpected and frequent disconnections in the context of confirming IEEE standards will lead to instability in the system newline
