Abstract: | newline ABSTRACT newlineThe present research is based on nail injuries pattern on human skin in assault cases. Nail newlineinjuries pattern play an important role in examining the assault cases. It is very often unnoticed newlinein present scenario of investigation of assault cases. The individuality of human identification newlineallows the forensic medicine experts (doctors) to reach to strong opinion of association in cases newlineof identification and nail injuries analysis. newlineThis research will establish role of nail injuries pattern in investigation of assault cases. It is newlinetherefore necessary for law enforcing agencies including doctors and forensic experts to take newlinesome special precautions while dealing with these cases. This opens an area of further research newlineand advancement in investigation of assault cases. As abrasion mark is mostly present in all newlineassault cases and hence it can become credible physical evidence. The examination of nail newlineinjuries pattern needs to be done and needs to be mentioned correctly in MLC form while newlineinvestigation of assault cases. This research proposes protocol to be followed by forensic newlineexaminers to locate, identify and record nail injuries and its patterns. newlineThe current research is based on detailed investigation of nail injuries pattern on human skin newlinecaused different patterns in various aspects. The different effects caused thereof have been newlinestudied and inferences have been mentioned for proper differentiation of patterns based on type newlineof injuries pattern. This research will certainly provide the best clues for the forensic scientists newlineand forensic experts morphologically diagnosed spots for jurisprudence and it will be big newlineevidence milestone. It will reveal facts and debunk myths about sexual-assault injuries, notably newlinenail abrasion patterns. Current research proposes to build an established online injury database; newlinewhich will help in data entry of cases with sketches, comments and interpretations.
