Abstract: | Human resources (HR) is the backbone of every supply chain system and the key enabler for newlineall other function to efficiently perform. HRM is centred around expanding strategic newlineapproaches to find, hire, select and retain the right employees, for the suitable job, and at the newlineright time, such that they become future leaders to further the organizational objectives, newlinemaintaining in mind the organisation s most valuable asset It s Employees. newlineHR is the driving force and source of the core competitive advantage of ecommerce business. newlineThe basic aim of this study is to examine and analyse how HRM practices and HR strategies newlineare formulated and utilized in the context of supply chain management of ecommerce newlinecompanies. The study critically analyses the different areas of HRM in the company such as newlinehiring, training and development, performance appraisal, compensation policy and newlineremuneration, employee motivation and retention. The study examines the application of HR newlinepractices within the supply chain management of ecommerce companies. newlineWhen discussing e-commerce, relatively less attention is paid to HRM-related issues. newlineHowever, analysing, carefully, both the successful start-ups and e-commerce giants treat newlineHRM as a critical success factor. Because business success depends on the careful integration newlineof HRM strategies with business requirements and strategies. The different HRM practices newlineand strategies adopted by different e-commerce firms will be discussed. newline |
