Abstract: | Water is a precious natural resource without which existence of life is not newlinepossible. Increasing environmental contamination from industrial effluent is a matter of newlinegreat worry. Many industries use dyes to color their products, especially textile industry. newlineThis consumes substantial amount of water and produces colored effluent. The precise newlinequantity of dyes manufactured in the globe is unknown, the utilization of dyes around the newlineworld is roughly 3 trillion tonnes with yearly expansion of 3%; around 8X105 tonnes of newlinedyes are required for textile dyeing. newlineTextile house effluent contains variety of dyes which have to be removed before newlinerelease of wastewater in drain to control diseases borne by polluted water. Dye effluent is newlineresponsible for various diseases like nausea, dermatitis, hemorrhage, skin infection and newlineulceration, kidney failure and aneamia. The majority of dyes are deliberately made to newlineresist environmental changes like sunlight and pH change. Color is apparent even at 1 newlineppm; hence, their presence is unwanted and must be excluded from the wastewater prior newlineto its release in the environment. newline |
