dc.description.abstractiii newlineABSTRACT newlineThe development of vehicular communication networks is newlineextravagant for the past decade and thus its design and data distribution is of newlinehigh importance. Generally, more number of vehicles in the highway traffic newlineand as well in regular pathway is increasing day-by-day and controlling these newlinevehicles is a herculean task and thus vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANETs) newlineemerged to process, transmit and receive signals between these vehicles and newlineperform data transfer. Through the past few years, numerous routing protocols newlineare designed to do effective multipath routing in VANETs. In VANETs, newlineanother important process is the selection of vehicles and thereby the vehicle newlineclusters. Several mechanisms have been adopted to perform vehicle selection, newlinecluster head selection and data transfer. But, day-by-day the requirement arises newlinefor new design approaches in making the VANET models to be highly newlinereliable, scalable and efficient. newlineThe research work has developed new algorithms based on which newlineeffective data transfer, vehicle selection and cluster head selection has been newlinedone. The evolutionary optimization ap newline
