Abstract: Wearable smart devices possess tremendous growth in wireless communication since 1990 as it eases human activities in the fastest technology. Wireless Body Area Network forms a network (WBAN) for the wireless data transmission from the on-body smart devices to the other storage devices such as Laptop, Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), base station for further processing and storage. As they are being worn for day-to-day activities, they should possess some quintessential features such as size miniaturization, lightweight, flexibility, less maintenance, portable, easily manifested with cost-effective. Thus, a single antenna covering multiple services is a quintessential feature needed for WBAN application. To provide flexibility and lightweight, several antennas in literature are developed on flexible substrates such as nylon, paper, felt, jean, Kapton polyimide, etc. but they are expensive and possess fabrication difficulties. Thus, the primary objective of the research work is focused on the development of a compact antenna on a thin, flexible Roger s substrate suitable for easy integration in wearable sensor devices. As the wearable antenna works in close proximity to the human body, its high conductivity may degrade the antenna performance. The secondary objective is to analyze the characteristics of the antenna through on-body assessments such as human body loading, structural deformation, Path loss measurement, and SAR analysis thereby affording its suitability for practical application. newline
