Abstract: | The relationship between energy consumption and increased newlinepopulation illustrates the importance of the renewable resources. Solar energy newlinecan provide more energy than the society need. However, the production of newlinefuels and electricity from solar energy still remains expensive and inefficient. newlineIn other hand, the wastewater containing residual commercial dyes discharged newlinefrom a textile industries is a serious environmental concern. Similarly, the newlineactive pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) has also emerged as an newlineenvironmental pollutant due to its increased consumption and subsequent newlinerelease into the water resources. The available traditional wastewater newlinetreatment methods are inefficient to handle these class of pollutants leading to newlineinadequate removal efficiency. This apprehension has increased the search for newlineeffective technology to resolve the continuous pollutant accumulation in the newlineenvironment. Semiconductor photocatalysis has been considered as a newlinepotential technology to the energy production and environmental remediation, newlinedesign and synthesis with high activities have fascinated the scientific newlineinterests worldwide. As one of the most appealing and eco-friendly newlinetechnology, heterogeneous photocatalysis has been applied in many fields newlinesuch as the green solar fuels, organic pollutants degradation and CO2 newlinereduction. newline |
