Abstract: Proteolytic enzymes are commercial enzymes with diversified newlineapplications in various industrial segments. To meet up the huge market newlinedemand, the proteases are gaining global attention in exploring extra newlineadditional resources to extract the enzyme in bulk quantity to fulfil needs. In newlinecontext to such a growing need of protease, the research is predominantly newlinefocused on extracting proteolytic enzymes from the peels of the banana fruit newlinethat could also facilitate the waste management in a larger dimension. The newlineresearch chiefly aims on screening different peels of banana varieties at newlinedifferent conditions to identify the profitable source of material for larger newlinequantity production of enzymes to meet the demands from various industrial newlinesectors. The maximal proteolytic activity was exhibited by a specific variety newlinecalled nendran in which the activity was recorded as 230.4 CDU/mg. The newlinecrude enzyme was analysed to go for purification steps in order to verify newlinewhether the purified fragments would have higher proteolytic activity. The newlinebest performing conditions for the specific protease isolated from the nendran newlinebanana are found to be leading at temperature 30ºC and pH 7. The rise in the newlinespecific activity of the protease was observed while adding metal ion Mn2+ to newlinethe reaction mixture. Other parameters such as the anti-tumor activity, cell newlinecytotoxicity were also performed and the end results illustrated the newlinepotentiality of the isolated metalloprotease. Recent research is greatly newlinefocusing on the nanofibres, that could act as a prospective therapeutic carrier newlinemolecule with extensive application is almost every commercial field. newline newline
