Title: Effects of Moringa oleifera Extract Phytosteroids on Mystus gulio Gonad Development

The MSE extract contains around 42 percent of phytosteroids. The experiment -I the histological observation of gonad shows high maturation having the highest oocyte diameter (856.69±29 µm) and GSI value of female M. gulio (30.49±3.5 %) in T3 treatment (1g/kg MSE). The Vtg concentration in T3 was also high in both serum and ovary confirmed by ELISA and western blot analysis. In both exp-I and II. The level of total serum protein, hemoglobin, and total RBC count was significantly (plt0.05) high in T3 as compared to control. Whereas high concentration (1.5g kg-1 MSE) shows lipid deposition (vacuolation) and increases the intercellular space of cells in both intestine and liver tissue. This higher dose decreases the oocyte maturation by showing less amount of Vtg in the ovary of females and a decline in spermatogenesis of male M. gulio. The SeNPs were crystalline spherical in the structure having 50 to 200 nm in size. Both the moringa and SeNPs contain a good number of antioxidants which together reduce the ROS in M. gulio conformed to the stress enzyme parameter viz SOD (0.238±0.39 U/ml), catalase (34.38 ± 4.6 nmol/ml), and cortisol (2875.3 ± 34 pg/ml). Further significantly (plt0.05) increases the hemoglobin level (10.80 ± 0.40 g/dl), Growth % (185.4±0.48), total serum protein (3.73±0.02 g/dl), survivability rate (78.6 ±0.76 %) in M.
