Abstract: | The cloud environment provides different services to maintain and access data belongs to any organizations. As the organizations are struggling to invest huge amount in developing such infrastructures to maintain their data, they use the cloud services towards maintain their data. Also, the users of organization, allowed to access the data through set of services provide by the service provider. Like any environment, the cloud also faces variety of challenges. The loosely coupled nature of cloud environment has opened the gate for the malicious users in generating different security threats being generated by both internal and external users. The security threats are generated at service level as well as data level, however both are targeting the overall performance of cloud environment. The problem of data security in cloud environment has been well studied. The data security has been enforced in different dimensions in literature. newlineThe data security is enforced by describing set of access restriction scheme and data encryption schemes. Access restriction has been performed in several ways using different phenomena. The profile and rule based approaches restrict the user access according to the profile or rule given. Similarly, the behavior based approaches monitors the behavior of user in restricting malformed access. The trust based approaches measures trust value according to previous access history in restricting the access. On the other side, the access restriction is performed in attribute level, block level and service level. In each case, there are variety of approaches available which works on the level concerned. newline |
