Abstract: In recent years, the potential use of engineered concrete using additive cementitious materials with the support of chemical admixtures to alter the properties of concrete has created a new outlook on concrete technology. Studies in this arena evolved to new dimensions in concrete properties facilitating compaction free concreting processes as well as curtailment of curing activities. Obviously, with the addition of self-compacting admixtures and self-curing compounds in the concrete, the 3m s namely machineries, methodology and manpower required for compaction and the facility, time period required for curing processes are completely eliminated. Hence, the effort, money and time spent on compaction and curing processes becomes a major cost-cutting factor in the concrete construction. Moreover, the use of industrial waste materials such as flyash, silicafume and metakaolin as a partial replacement of cement and M.sand as a partial to full replacement for the scarce river sand helps to carry out an eco-friendly approach towards achieving a sustainable construction and development newline
