Abstract: | In the globalized business environment today, it has been found that most of the companies newlinewant to retain their employees to work for them. Most of the efforts have been directed over newlinethe framing of HR policies that can reduce the tendencies of labour turnover as well as newlineabsenteeism at the work place. Not only in context of foreign companies but the companies newlinein India are also concerned towards the retainment of their employees so as to reduce newlinevarious types of costs associated to new recruitment process. Hence, it becomes more newlineimportant to study the various factors affecting the motivation, job satisfaction, employee newlineretention as well as reduced tendencies of employee s absenteeism. The present study uses a newlinesample of 398 respondents for collecting a data from medium and large-scale industry newlineworking during 2020-21. The findings of the study revealed that presence of promotion and newlinebenefits related policies has a major role while shaping the job satisfaction and employee newlinemotivation of the sample under study.
