A quasi experimental post test only with comparison group design was chosen. Olive oil back massage and SP6 acupressure was effective to reduce the pain perception and duration of labour among primigravida mothers. Repeated Measures of ANOVA on comparison of pain perception between study and comparison group over a period of time from post test I to V was statistically significant at level plt 0.001 with F value of 393.43.The correlation of duration of labour with pain in post test V among study group participants revealed positive correlation r = 0.67 which was statistically significant at level plt0.001.The pearson correlation value on correlation of duration of labour with pain in post test V among comparison group revealed positive correlation with r value of 0 .07 which was not statistically significant. newline newline |
