Abstract: | Fiber reinforced polymer composite materials are growing at a fast rate in various engineering and industrial applications due to their excellent properties and characteristics such as high tensile strength, high strength to weight ratio, less thermal expansion, corrosion resistance, low cost, biodegradable nature, simple fabrication processes and less abrasiveness, etc. Natural and synthetic fibers reinforced polymeric hybrid composites are increasingly being used in various engineering sectors, particularly in the automotive, aviation and construction industries. newlineDespite great progress identified in the materials science and engineering in recent years, the challenges continue in the area of develop a material based on cost, life, and environmental consequences. Eggshell which mainly have been identified as a massive waste substance in poultry farming and food industries, constitute a major source for environmental pollution. As a result, repurposing eggshell waste will have a positive influence on environmental conservation. Eggshell have been the best competitor for usage due to their better mechanical strength, availability in massive quantities, environmental friendliness and less cost. Hence, the present research work is focused on experimental investigation of the usage of eggshell nanoparticles as fillers in fiber reinforced polymer composites. newlineIn this experimental work, four different hybrid composite laminates were fabricated. newline |
