Structural Morphological And Optical Studies Of WTe2 Based Nanocomposites For Sensing Applications

Abstract

After 2004, graphene analogous materials emerged as a new class of twodimensional materials. Topological materials have specific topological arrangements in newlinetheir geometry of electronic band structures, which results in unusual electromagnetic newlineproperties and robust surface states. The majority of topological materials are twodimensional transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) that possess unique properties newlineand has various applications in the various fields such as gas sensing, photocatalysis, newlineand energy storage devices. Tungsten ditelluride (WTe2) grab sudden attention after the newlinestudy of the topological behavior and magnetoresistance property of this material. Even newlineafter that, it is not explored experimentally much as compared to other TMDs. newlineTherefore, pure WTe2 and WTe2-based nanocomposites thin films have been newlinesynthesized in this work and explored for photodetection applications. newline
