Abstract: In recent years, manufacturing industries are working in an newlineuncertain environment and are facing severe competition because of advanced newlinemanufacturing technology, increased globalization, tremendous improvement newlinein the field of information technology, changing customer demands etc. Of newlinelate, the competition is not between industries, but between supply chains of newlinethe industries. So, managers have realized that their whole supply chain must newlinebe efficient and competent to survive in the market. This forces them to newlineintegrate various departments of the organization and also incorporate one newlinesupply chain onto another which makes the supply chain all the more complex newlineand vulnerable to risks. This integration involves different departments or parties of the newlinesupply chain, and the employees are exposed to global environment where a newlinematter of trust and ethical behavior among the parties is required for the newlinesmooth functioning of the supply chains. Stake holders too are becoming newlineaware of the world s environmental problems. Hence, the supply chain must newlinebe made sustainable to protect the environment and improve supply chain newlinecompetitiveness. From the literature survey it is found that there is a scarce newlineliterature available to study the impact of risk, integration, sustainability and newlineethics individually on the supply chain competitiveness. Also, the mediating newlineeffect of integration, sustainability and ethics in achieving supply chain newlinecompetitiveness and the integrated impact of risk, integration, sustainability newlineand ethics (RISE) together on supply chain competitiveness is not dealt much newlinein the literature. In this empirical study effort is taken to fulfill the above gap. The newlineconstructs were identified through literature review and expert opinion. This newlinesurvey instrument was given to 550 manufacturing industries and the data newlinewere collected. newline newline
