In the modern world, small materials with novel properties have a great impact, especially in the research field. Thus, the tiny materials with unique characteristics viewed through scientific knowledge lead to Nanotechnology. This nanotechnology is a new interdisciplinary field with the collaboration of science and engineering where it grows very speedily. Generally, nanomaterials are lightweight; occupy small space, have high energy efficiency, and importantly different properties at a small scale. It has many applications in the field of biomedical, agriculture, electronics, agriculture, mechanical, textiles, defense, cosmetics, photonics, optoelectronics, etc. Quantum dots (QDs) Zero dimensional semiconductors have more impact in recent days due to their wide band gap, discrete energy level ,and its related properties. Quantum dots are good semiconductors with fluorescence characteristics. When the size is decreased to zero dimensions, the energy level is discrete and the band gap increased in the quantum confinement. Generally, II-VI and III-V group elements in the periodic table are mostly investigated due to their size dependence. The quantum dot particle size is smaller than the exciton Bohr radius because of surface to volume ratio. When the size is reduced to nanoscale the physical property changes, especially optical, chemical and electrical properties that differ from bulk counterparts. In the semiconductor nanoparticles, researchers are more conscious indirect band gap semiconductors CdTe, CdSe, CdS, ZnS, and ZnSe. newlineNanoparticles can be synthesized in many ways but biosynthesis technology is eco-friendly, low-cost, highly natural, and convenient, due to that it is used in many biomedical applications. Quantum dot has different color based on their size, large quantum dot emits red color, while small dot emits blue color. Cadmium - Tellurium (CdTe) and Cadmium- Selenium (CdSe) is an inorganic II-VI direct bandgap semiconductors that have high potential in optoelectronics and biological application newline
