Increased rates of depression and anxiety were reported among university students with myopia. Vision-related quality of life, psychological health, and mental health were found to be inversely correlated with the degree of myopia. Our study suggested the social acceptance, impulsiveness, purposefulness, dependency on glasses as the factors for the poor quality of life. Improved psychological well-being was observed following the counselling session. newline
