dc.description.abstractTechnology has changed many educational concepts and emerged as a helping hand to teachers and students. The importance of technology in the classroom is closely related to both teachers and students. Effective use of ICT makes the education system more learners oriented rather than teacher orientated because technology is enhancing teacher s capabilities by helping students to participate actively in teaching learning process. The present study attempts to investigate the impact of integration of ICT in class room teaching in relation to learning outcomes, retention and interest of Class XIth students of commerce stream for Management subject. newlineThe objective of the study is to measure and compare mean learning scores of the students belonging to ICT based teaching and traditional method of teaching; to measure and compare mean Retention scores of the students belonging to ICT based teaching and traditional method of teaching; to measure and compare mean Interest scores of the students belonging to ICT based teaching and traditional method of teaching; and To study the inter-relation between means of learning outcomes, retention and interest. For the study 182 students was selected by purposive and random sampling technique as sample; among these 90 students were in controlled group and 92 students were in experimental group the two groups of students were equated by intelligence test and previous knowledge of concept (pre-test). Data was analysis by using t-test, Pearson Product moment correlation coefficient and Partial correlation co-efficient. From the statistical analysis of the study, it was found that effective integration of ICT helped the students to sustain their learning out comes and also their retention power as compared to the traditional method of teaching. The overall result of the study revealed that effective integration of ICT has a more positive impact on the learning out comes and retention in management subject of XIth standard students of commerce stream as compared to traditional method o
