Abstract: The research area in recent years is focussed to study the crystallization newlineprocess, nucleation phenomenon, growth rate and crystal habit control newlinemechanism, polymorphism, in-situ nucleation exploration and a phase change newlineoccurring in solution, which plays a significant role in employing separation and newlinepurification process in pharmaceutical, fine chemical and agrochemical industries. newlineThe growth and design of amino acid based organic nonlinear optical crystals newlineused for developing low-power laser driven NLO systems exhibiting less optical newlineresponse time with high second harmonic generation efficiency SHG when newlinecompared to inorganic NLO materials. In the present dissertation work, monocrystal nonlinear optical materialamma glycine was harvested from the calculated amounts of glycine and cadmium sulphate (CdSO4) in 3:1 molar ratio at ambient temperature using the slow solvent newlineevaporation experiment. Monocrystal gamma glycine crystallized in trigonal lattice newlinestructure with non-centro symmetric crystallographic group P32. The signature peak newlineof gamma glycine was confirmed by powder XRD diffractogram. Chemical shift newlineand infrared studies exhibited the occurrence of chemical group species, resonance newlinesignal chemical shifts and functional groups present in the gamma glycine newlinepowdered samples. The existence of cadmium (Cd) element concentration in newlinegamma glycine solution was quantified by inductively coupled plasma optical newlineemission spectrometry (ICP-OES) equipment. Optical information and other newlineparameters of gamma glycine such as crystal transparency, energy gap, refractive newlineindex, electrical susceptibility, extinction coefficient, optical conductivity, electrical newlineconductivity, optical reflectance, transmittance and absorbance was determined newlineusing UV-Visible-NIR spectrophotometer. Thermal information such as weight-loss newlineprofile, thermal stability, decomposition temperature point, melting point and phase newlinetransition temperature were determined from TG-DTG and TG-DSC trace curves. newlineThe improved phase transition temperature in the TG-DSC
