Abstract: | Seasonal proximate biochemical compositions of twenty four commercially important newlinemarine fishes were studied from Gopalpur coast during January 2016 to December 2017. The newlinefish samples and water samples were collected in monthly regular basis. The biochemical newlinecomposition like moisture, protein, lipid, carbohydrate and ash were determined following newlinethe standard methods. Similarly environmental parameters like temperature, pH, salinity and newlinedissolved oxygen were studied. The highest mean water temperature was observed to be newline34.92°C (January 2016 December 2016) and 35.32°C (January 2017 December 2017) in newlinethe month of May. The lowest mean water temperature was observed to be 24.31°C (January newline2016 December 2016) and 24.40°C (January 2017 December 2017) in the month of newlineOctober. The highest mean salinity was observed to be 33.50 PSU (January 2016 December newline2016) and 32.96 PSU (January 2017 December 2017) in the month of May. The lowest newlinemean salinity was observed to be 21.11 PSU (January 2016 December 2016) and 20.92 newlinePSU (January 2017 December 2017) in the month of October. The highest mean pH was newlineobserved to be 8.31 (January 2016 December 2016) and 8.17 (January 2017 December 2017) in the month of May and June respectively. The lowest mean pH was observed to be newline6.72 (January 2016 December 2016) and 6.60 (January 2017 December 2017) in the newlinemonth of November. The highest mean dissolved oxygen was observed to be 8.10 mg/l newline(January 2016 December 2016) and 8.05 mg/l (January 2017 December 2017) in the newlinemonth of January. The lowest mean dissolved oxygen was observed to be 5.01 mg/l (January newline2016 December 2016) and 4.81 mg/l (January 2017 December 2017) in the month of newlineJuly. newline |
