Abstract: | In this thesis, the Error-Rate (ER) performance of multiple input and newlinemultiple output Multi-carrier Code-division-multiple-access (MIMO MCCDMA) newlineis evaluated with the aid of Cognitive radio network (CRN) .MIMO newlineis proven to be useful for high data rate application. MC-CDMA is used to newlineaccommodate higher number of user by eliminating channel impairments. newlineCRN is suggested for 5G network to offer higher bandwidth by exposing idle newlinespectrum. Multi-carrier modulation is processed inverse fast-Fourier newlinetransform at transmitter and demodulation at each receiver using fast-Fourier newlinetransform. Multi-carrier technique is introduced to obtain bandwidth newlineefficiency and overcome the problem of frequency selectivity. At each mobile newlinestation, we estimate user s information using MMSE based iterative newlinealgorithm. Further; the system performance is tested using channel encoder. newlineWe structure channel encoder using turbo code which is designed with the newlinehelp of two convolutional encoder .The input information is interleaved using newlinerandom interleaver and is fed to second convolutional encoder. We create newlinepuncturing matrix using input information and output of two convolutional newlineencoders. Then we puncture parity bit information to obtain necessary code newlinerate. Further, we decode and estimate information using iterative decoder newlinewhich ensure higher performance with lower signal-to-noise ratio. It is newlineindicated from simulations that CRN based MIMO MC-CDMA system with newlineiterative decoder dwell better ER while ensuring higher data rate for newlinedownlink signal transmission.Cognitive Radio (CR) is a futuristic technology which efficiently usesthe underutilized TV band spectrum for mobile communication. The spectrum newlinescarcity issue, mobile traffic due to ever-increasing number of clients utilizing newlinethe same spectrum and interference problems will be efficiently handled by newlineCR networks. In this research, we employ CR spectrum for safe transmission newlineof medical reports consisting of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanned newlineimages.
