Abstract: Photovoltaic (PV) power generation will be a good solution for the glooming power crises issue and increasing load demand. PV power need to be optimized and effectively used since the output characteristics curves are non-linear in nature with respect to given irradiance and temperature conditions. The current voltage (I-V) and power voltage (P-V) output characteristic curves necessarily consist of a peak point at which maximum power exist for particular irradiance and temperature. To track this peak power and to operate the PV panel/ array at the maximum power, an intelligent tracker is needed. This tracker essentially consists of a power conditioner and a control algorithm to deploy maximum power point tracking (MPPT) scheme. Partial shading is a phenomenon where the panels in an array receives non-uniform irradiation which results in multiple peaks in output characteristic curves newline
