Primary objective of any navigation system is to locate the position of the target with newlinereference to its own position. All vehicles like aircrafts; missiles etc. incorporating newlineimaging systems have their own INS/GPS systems to locate the position of target. newlineHowever if very high accuracies are required, it is necessary to have a terminal guidance newlinesystem, which can locate the target with in few meters. Imaging radar is finding immense newlineapplications in both military and civilian sectors. There are Varieties of Imaging Radar s newlinelike Real Aperture Radar (RAR), Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) etc. The different newlinekinds of radar imaging systems have been studied, and the real aperture radar system has newlinebeen chosen since it finds immediate application in terminal guidance systems. Both SAR newlineand Passive Radiometric Imaging systems for this application are not suitable because of newlinethe inherent limitations like sideward looking and limited range respectively. In the newlinecontest of this Imaging Radars, the target identification is an important task. Therefore newlinesome investigations are needed to perform this task. Imaging radar is finding immense newlineapplications in both military and civilian sectors. There are Varieties of Imaging Radar s newlinelike Real Aperture Radar (RAR), Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) etc. The synthetic newlineaperture radar system has been chosen since it finds immediate application in terminal newlineguidance systems. SARs are very use full for terrain monitoring. In order to obtain high newlineresolution SAR images, we apply image processing techniques before display for decision newlinemaking. We consider the following are the objectives for realizing a SAR processing newlinesystem newline
