Abstract: | Wireless sensor network (wsn) is a rapidly emerging field due to its extensive range of applications, such as health monitoring, wildlife tracking, air pollution monitoring, environment protection, surveillance of critical infrastructures, etc. the signal processing and control application play a vital role in the wireless sensor network operations. digital signal processing (dsp) is another fascinating field which grabs attention of many researchers, besides the application is very vast with exception of wsn due to power constraint. digital signal processing system predominantly necessitates multiply accumulate unit that is regarded as a significant computation block for computing the speed and performance of the entire system. multiplication and accumulation is generally required for signal-processing operations, such as correlation, filtering, convolution, discrete fourier transform, discrete wavelet transform, hence designing an efficient multiply and accumulate unit is one of the best solutions, where complex operations are involved to cutback power due to increased complexity. newlinethe design of low power and high-speed mac unit is regarded as crucial for wsn applications when implemented through vlsi technology due to power restriction. the research work mainly emphasis on vlsi design of high-speed low latency mac architecture for wsn application. the spotlight of the research comprises spectrum sensing architectures in cognitive radio wireless sensor network (crwsn) using the suggested mac unit. spectrum sensing is regarded as one of the cr tasks besides it is particular among the significant cognitive ability. spectrum sensing is one that helps secondary users for accessing frequency band whenever a primary user is not accessing the spectrum without causing any interference to a primary user. hence, this low power and high-speed mac can be greatly exploited for spectrum sensing architectures. newline newline newline newline newline newline newline newline |
