Abstract: Agriculture in India has a significant history. It plays a vital role in the Indian economy, so it will not be wrong to say the Indian economy is an Agricultural Economy. This sector is the main pillar behind the development of India. It is a source of livelihood and food security for a vast majority of low-income, poor and vulnerable sections of society and Cotton is an important agricultural commodity, both globally as well as domestically. It is one of the most essential commercial crops (White Gold) cultivated in India which plays a key role in the economic, political, and social affairs of the world. Cotton cultivation, processing, marketing, and trading have been the mainstay of millions in India for centuries. newlineCotton is one of the most important fibbers and cash crops of India and plays a dominant role in the industrial and agricultural economy of the country. It provides the basic raw material (cotton fiber) to the cotton textile industry. Cotton in India provides direct livelihood to 6 million farmers and about 40-50 million people are employed in the cotton trade and its processing in India hence, Cotton in India is the quotKing of Cropsquot and is also the quotWhite Goldquot of India. newlineBut nowadays, Cotton Producing Farmers are facing so many problems in cotton production in India. Even though they are facing so many problems, they are sticking with cotton production.
