The more time a user uses these mediums, the more these social media companies get financial profit. These companies use artificial intelligence to engage users for the benefit they are getting. In addition to the user interaction and interest in online social networks, new content is suggested to users based on frequently searched and viewed content. The social and personal preferences of the target user for recommendation services are also taken into consideration. This causes users to get stuck in using in social media. The point is that users search some content, and more contents are suggested of the same kind by this feature. Such features can make the users addicted or even mentally ill. If any user searches any inflammatory or harmful content this feature will suggest more content of the same kind to that user. This can affect the user s mindset and if that user shares the information suggested by this feature in his contact there is possibility of spreading religious hatred, racism, animosity as well as panic in the society. Today, there are many terrorist organizations operating internationally like ISIS, Al Qaeda. Social media is playing a central role between local terrorist groups and international terrorist groups. Terrorist organizations are using social media to communicate with each other. Apart from this, social media is also being used extensively for promotion of terrorism, recruitment of new terrorists |
