Abstract: newline Cervical cancer in women is the second most common cancer worldwide, next only to newlinebreast cancer. It is on a declining trend in India according to population-based registries, newlineyet it continues to be a major public health problem for women in India. Mortality due newlineto cervical cancer is also an indicator of health inequities, as 86% of all death due to newlinecervical cancer are in developing, low- and middle-income countries.3 Most of the newlinewomen in this study showed a positive attitude towards screening on being informed newlineabout its procedure and its utility.
