Abstract

Late 1970and#8223;s and 1980and#8223;s witnessed the emergence of a new field of study known as Translation Studies . It steadily began to gain ground and turned out to be a serious field of enquiry. That Translation studies gathered importance and could stamp its permanence among the existing social theories is not at all surprising because of the process of globalization and the intercultural communication that the world was witnessing.
