Abstract: | newline Abstract newlineTo study about various factors which are given weightage by the talented executives to continue to work at a particular work place and those should also be considered by textile units to retain such work force because that is prominent to save variety of costs which occur only due to leaving the job by an employee. The data for the purpose will be collected by including the persons employed at top and medium level in several textile units in India. A comparative study of the preferences of the respondents for factors will be made on the basis of their gender, income group, managerial level and marital status etc. with the help of the primary data collected from the executives through a structured questionnaire. Secondary data through the published annual reports, journals and the like material would also be used to make the study more meaningful. Textile units working in Ahmedabad region, whether in private or in public sector, will be included for collecting the data. Findings of the study would positively be of great use not only for distinct textile units of India to frame their policies and to adopt intrinsic and extrinsic motivational factors for the human capital rather those will have worth for the industries working in other fields up to a great extent. newlineBackground of the research topic: newlineEmployee Retention is an important criterion in industries in the present era because the generation has become more professional and gives more priorities to personal and family requirements in comparison to objectives to be achieved by the employer, and does not hesitate to leave the job even in a very short span of time. Retention of talent capital has attracted the attention of almost every type of industrial unit. The industries are conducting surveys for them to know the engagement level of their employees. Organizations are facing the problem of attrition, which is growing newlineday by day throughout the world. Retention has been considered a major subject of discussion in HRD community |
