Abstract

When writing the first part of the book, Dr. Radhavallabh Tripathi was working as a guest teacher in the University of Silicon in Bangkok, and the second part was written by him during his tenure as the chancellor of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi. There are six stories in the first part and five stories in the second part of the text. The whole text is written in the style of Panchatantra and Kadambari, but in a contemporary form. In the story, Nayaka and Nayika of the contemporary world are present in the form of Shashidhara and Shampa. Love marriage of Shashidhar and Shampa was fixed. Before their marriage both were research scholars. Shashidhar went abroad to undertake research in chemistry and Shampa undertook research in narcotics in sociology. Before going, Shashidhar presented a Parrot (Shilabhadra) and Maina (Meghavini) to Shampa as a gift. Shilabhadra was not Shilabhadra by name only but by acts as well. The character of Shampa in the story is a symbol of morality, culture and sociability. In the end of the story both get married. In this way the story ends in a happy atmosphere. In this story written by Dr. Radhavallabh Tripathi, there is a constant flow of entertainment, style and richness in content. The language of the story carries simplicity and flow. In the summary of the story, Shilabhadra works as commentator and Shampa through her character shows all the human values. In this way we can briefly introduce the story written in a unique style. Through this thesis, the spread a new vision and knowledge has been attempted, where the stories of Abhinavsuksarika act as an effective medium. The book being contemporary, English and contemporary characters have been used, wherever needed. Today it is widely believed that there is an absence of contemporary words in Sanskrit. Cultural, political and moral values have been described in the story. By reading this story, new readers and scholars get fascinated towards ancient stories as well. For this reason, this text was chosen this thesis.
